Carrefour des peuples et des civilisations, le Cameroun, cette Afrique
miniature s’étire de sa façade océanique au creux du golfe de Guinée
jusqu’au lac Tchad, à la charnière entre Afrique occidentale et orientale.
Au Nord Cameroun à 250 km de Garoua (env. 4 H de trajet)
se trouve la Zone 18 bis 118.000ha (savane arbustive).
Le guide est présent sur le terrain depuis 1995.
Cameroon is the meeting point of peoples and civilizations. This
Africa in miniature spreads out from its oceanic shoreline to the
Guinea Bay and up to the Lake Chad, where eastern Africa meets
western Africa.
The area 18 bis stretches over 118 hectares in a shrubby
savannah in the north of Cameroon, at a distance of 250 km and at a 4-hour
drive from Garoua. The guide has been on the field since 1995.
Le campement tout confort a été construit en dur, sur un site
grandiose.
Il surplombe le Faro où se prélassent de nombreux hippopotames,
et cette rivière offre d’extraordinaires possibilités de pêche au Capitaine (30 kg et plus) ou encore au réputé poisson tigre dit «Binga».
Les piscines naturelles du Faro, aux eaux vives et limpides, offrent des possibilités de baignades rafraîchissantes dans un cadre magique.
On an imposing landscape, the camp has been built as a permanent structure with all modern conveniences.
It overhangs the Faro River where you can see numerous hippopotamuses. This river gives wonderful fishing opportunities for the captain (30 kg and more) or for the famous tiger fish called "Binga".
The bathing pools of the Faro River, with its crystal-clear spring tides, offers cool swimmings in a magical setting.

Ce territoire est un véritable joyau situé dans un cul-de-sac totalement inaccessible en saison pluvieuse. Le Parc National du Faro avec sa réserve de faune, la rivière Faro et une chaîne montagneuse bordent et protègent naturellement la zone. Ce biotope très favorable explique la faune très riche et les grandes concentrations d’animaux. 300 kilomètres de pistes annuellement entretenues et un parc automobile de qualité permettent d’accéder au plus profond d’une nature intacte.
This territory is a pure jewel located in a dead-end area, totally out-of-the-way during the rainy season. The National Park of the Faro, its wildlife reservation, its river and its mountain range, naturally surrounds and protects the hunting area. This favourable biotope allows a very rich wildlife and great animals' gatherings. With its 300 km of tracks yearly maintained and a big number of vehicles of quality, you can reach the depths of an unspoiled setting.
La recherche des grands animaux s’effectue exclusivement au pistage, grâce aux talentueux pisteurs camerounais réputés parmi les meilleurs d’Afrique. Un grand art.
Chasing big animals is only done by tracking thanks to talented Cameroonian trackers, known as the best in Africa. Quite an art!

LA SAISON DE CHASSE :
La chasse au Cameroun est autorisée du :
1er décembre au 31 mai
Mais en raison de l'inaccessibilité de la zone, le guide reçoit du
1er janvier au 30 avril.
HUNTING SEASON :
Hunting in Cameroon is allowed from December 1st to May 31st.
However, because of the isolation of this area, the guide will only welcome you from January 1st to April 30th. |

La densité d’animaux permet au guide d’assurer le contact avec les grands seigneurs de la brousse et à chaque chasseur de réaliser ses objectifs y compris le mythique Eland de Derby. Grâce à une gestion rigoureuse, au caractère unique et privilégié du territoire, la majorité des trophées prélevés sont recordables.
The numerous populations of animals allow the guide to maintain permanent contact with the great lords of the bush and allow each hunter to fulfil his objectives and trophies, including the mythical Eland de Derby. With a rigorous management, a unique and privileged nature of the territory, most of the trophies taken there, are recordable.

Climat :
Sec et agréable, nuits fraiches et journées tempérées d' octobre à mars, les températures se réchauffant jusqu'aux premières pluies en mi-avril.
